APS today released Dispute Advantage 4.3, introducing an AI-assisted chargeback recommendation engine as part of the Guardian automation layer. The feature analyzes incoming dispute evidence — including transaction metadata, cardholder history, and network reason codes — and surfaces a ranked list of recommended responses with supporting rationale. Analysts can accept, modify, or override recommendations with a single click, keeping human judgment in the loop while significantly reducing time-to-decision.
In beta testing across five financial institution clients, the recommendation engine reduced average analyst decision time by 38% and improved first-time chargeback acceptance rates by 12 percentage points. The model is trained on anonymized dispute outcomes from across the APS client base and is continuously updated as new network guidance is released.
Additional enhancements in 4.3 include expanded Reg Z reason code support, a new bulk-action interface in Docket for high-volume provisional credit scenarios, and performance improvements to the AuditLens compliance dashboard that reduce report generation time by up to 60%. Clients on active maintenance agreements will receive the 4.3 upgrade automatically during their next scheduled maintenance window.
