Advantage Payment Services announced today that the Dispute Advantage platform has surpassed 10 million disputes processed since its commercial launch — a milestone that reflects both the growth of the APS client base and the expanding volume of electronic payment disputes across the financial services industry. The milestone was reached in December 2024, capping a year in which APS added 14 new financial institution clients and expanded services with 9 existing ones.
The 10 million figure spans all dispute types handled on the platform, including Reg E debit disputes, Reg Z credit card chargebacks, ACH error resolutions, and fraud case investigations. APS attributes the volume growth to several factors: rising debit card transaction volumes industry-wide, the increasing complexity of dispute types requiring structured case management, and client adoption of APS’s outsourced dispute processing service, which saw a 31% increase in case volume year-over-year.
“This milestone reflects the trust our clients place in us to manage some of the most operationally complex workflows in their institutions,” said the APS Chief Operating Officer. “We’re proud of what the team has built and are focused on continuing to invest in the platform capabilities that make our clients faster, more compliant, and more cost-effective.” APS plans to share additional 2024 performance highlights and a product roadmap preview at its annual client summit in Q1 2025.
